The other day I had the privilege to attend a special function at CULT, one of the top designer furniture suppliers in Sydney. The event was arranged together with Carl Hansen & Son as a tribute to what is arguably the most iconic piece of scandinavian design - the Wishbone chair CH24 by Hans J. Wegner.
Lucky for us, we got to watch first hand how Bennytheweaver, the skilled craftsman from Carl Hansen & Son factory in Denmark weave the seat made from meters and meters of paper cord around the masterfully designed oak frame. I even got a chance to try myself! You can see the pic on my instagram here.
First designed in 1950, the chair has been in continuous production and is still a coveted piece for many of us ( like myself).
In a variation of finish combinations, which is you favourite?
