A few weeks ago I posted about 5 Tips On How To Style A Bookshelf ( part 1 ), which was brought on by my own re-styling at home. Today I am following on with the Part 2 version of this post with some of my favourite picks of objects to use to create a great looking bookshelf.
These items have been chosen because of their great looks and functionality, some of which I have and some that I would love to have!
Which is your favourite?
1/ Kubus candle holders and bowl By Lassen. This candle holder by Danish brand By Lassen was designed in 1962 and is an iconic piece. Its clean lines and simple design makes it a perfect statement piece. Available to buy from Share Design.
2/ Knuff timber magazine holders from IKEA. These untreated timber magazine holders look great as they are, or can be painted/stained black for a more industrial effect.
3/ Boxes and binders by Kikki.K. For cohesive storage of small items and paperwork a set of these cloth covered boxes and binders are a must. I may be biased (!) but Swedes do stationary really well. Another favourite Swedish supplier of mine for customised boxes etc is BookBinders , where you can custom engrave messages and names.
4/ Copper Lantern lamp from Great Dane Furniture. Designed by Harri Koskinen, this beautiful hand blown glass lamp adds ambiance and sculptural interest to any shelf or side board.
5/ Kvissle Desk Accessories from IKEA. White and cork combined in functional and stylish designs for amazing prices. Say no more.
6/ Eco Friendly Squat Pot with succulent from Garden Life. These pots come in 3 sizes and is a stylish way to house indoor plants. Garden Life is my go-to place for sourcing wonderful pots, plants and interesting outdoor design elements. They also have a great little cafe out the back - perfect for mid week lunch!
7/ Book strap by Menu. Such a simple yet effective design. Love adding an element of leather into interiors. I am also coveting their Bottle Grinter salt& pepper mills from Menu, available to buy from Great Dane furniture.
